… recorded live in Brent McDonald’s studio in Otsego, Michigan during a few day break on a Coast-to-Coast tour. The touring group grew at this time from a trio (Michael, Ced and Tobias) to a five-piece (with Todd Glass on drums and David Reinstein on sax and flute) and for the purpose of this recording and a stretch of dates in Michigan and Indiana, the great Jack Dryden on bass. Their performance of this song at The Slippery Noodle in Indianapolis, and the crowd’s response to it, provided me with the most extreme example I have ever witnessed of artist-and-audience completely out of their gourd together; people standing on tables and chairs and dancing anywhere and everywhere in total joy-elation-and-celebration.
